The Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show event is a very old tradition in the Village of Blowing Rock. Originally the first show began in 1923. The horse show event's of the past only lasted for five days or so, but over the years the show has grown to cover a wonderful period in June and July that lasts for 3 weeks. Known as the 'Highlight of Blowing Rock's Summer Season' show goers can watch from the lovely grandstand, or from a private box, or along the rail at the gate.
Held at the Blowing Rock Equestrian Preserve, The L.M. Tate Horse Show Grounds, the events attract numerous exhibitors and spectators from all over the world. Tickets are just $10 per day and children 12 and under are admitted FREE!
The Hunter & Jumper horse show is where the action is and the Saddlebred show is a wonderful event as well. You can come and go as you like throughout the days events. Craftsmen and vendors also set up all along the craft booths and there is food available throughout at various concessions and food vendors.
