The place is alive with park activities and flowers everywhere, and restaurants to suit all tastes and pocketbooks; Art in the Park on selected Saturdays features more than 100 mountain crafts, and Concerts in the Park, on selected Sundays; homemade chocolates and ice cream, riding stables, community tennis courts and a heated Olympic sized pool; hiking trails and fishing; Moses Cone State Park with its own craft center.

Blowing Rock's own professional theater, the famous Goodwin Weavers, and many specialty and gift shops where night strollers are a common sight, looking for bargains and that special item for that certain someone.

To top everything though, are the mountains, peaking at the crest of the famous Blue Ridge Parkway and providing clean, crisp air and wondrous views you won't forget, including the Linn Cove Viaduct.
